Founded in Zürich in 2019, Ampersand is a small senior-led studio. The senior engineer who picks up your first call is the one who leads delivery, owning the technical decisions, sitting at the table with your investors, and pulling in our trusted network of senior collaborators when your project needs a specific skill.
We've helped founders, owners and teams launch first products, served as part-time tech leads through fundraising, and kept live software running for teams from one person to two hundred.
The name
Why Ampersand?
An ampersand "&" is the small mark that joins two things. Two names, two ideas, two halves of a sentence. We picked it because that's what we do.
We sit between you and your customers. Between you and your team. Between the idea in your head and the product that ships. Whatever needs connecting, that's where we sit.

Every line of code and every big technical call is made by an engineer with at least ten years of real-world experience. The freelancers we bring in are people we've worked with for years, never a stranger from a marketplace.
